PRIDE Month

So June is a BIG DEAL.

FIRST and foremost, it’s PRIDE MONTH!

I am so proud of you. Thank you for still being here, being real, and being true to yourself. Even if you’re not able to be open and visible, please know that this recognition applies to you, too. I hope with each passing year, life gets better and better. As a cis white male, I can not and will not assume to understand the struggles you have faced thus far. But I can relate to being endlessly bullied for most of my childhood, simply because I was different. You are an inspiration to me. You are loved. And let this be a safe space where you can know you are seen, heard, and valued.

I looked over this list myself, and I’ll be listening to “Owning It” by Nikki Levy and Alexandra Billings, personally. My wife has been a fan of Alexandra’s for a long time, especially her Katherine Hepburn (Katy’s Corner) sketches. She is freaking hilarious and a powerful voice for the LGBTQIA+ community.
